Pune Police sends out an invitation to people for chai-date on Valentine’s Day:

On Valentine’s Day, Pune Police went on Twitter and invited all the citizens of the city for a chai-date. Their Twitter account has always been famous for its wit and sense of humor.

This began when a Twitter user, Manthan MG asked the Pune Police what their plans were for Valentine’s Day and whether they were going to meet Mumbai Police. The police replied by saying, “You know how long-distance relationships are. We may be far, but, we’ve got each other’s back, wherever we are.”

Another Twitter user added to the thread saying, “Will you take me on a date tomorrow evening? You are my last hope.” And that is what triggered the invite for the chai-date. The Pune Police wrote, “How about a chai-date with @CPPuneCity for all the members of Twitterati in #Pune? We look forward to hosting you at our office at 5 PM today. Those dropping in to show some love please confirm here by 3 PM & we shall take details on DM. #BeOurValentinePune #ValentinesDay2020 (sic)”
